Funding
The government provides funding for early childhood education in a number of ways. This section provides information about the funding resources provided through the Ministry of Education. Information about current ECE Funding Rates, including details of changes to the rates and FAQs, can be found on the Ministry of Education website.
Operational funding information is provided in the Funding Handbook. This is now available online as well as in a downloadable format. All early childhood education services should have a copy of the handbook which is updated on a regular basis. If you are unsure your handbook is up to date just check the section online. We suggest you download the Microsoft Word version of the chapter found in the right hand column if you are replacing it in the handbook itself. Otherwise you can print single pages for reference or discussion.
