Hospital-based ECE services

This area of the site focuses on the information needs of hospital-based early childhood education (ECE) services.

Hospital-based ECE services are early childhood education and care services operating from hospital premises and providing education and care only to children who are patients of that hospital.  

ECE services operating from hospital premises that provide education and care to siblings of patients or children of hospital staff or patients are Centre-based ECE services, not Hospital-based ECE services.

The new regulatory system including the criteria has been now been approved by the Minister of Education and notices have been published in the New Zealand Gazette.
