9-7 Claiming the support grant for provisionally registered teachers

Description


The Support Grant for Provisionally Registered Teachers provides additional funding for teacher-led services that are required to meet the Strategic Plan’s teacher registration targets.


Rule


Services can claim the grant for each provisionally registered teacher who is employed in the service for up to two years or until the teacher has achieved full registration (whichever comes first).


Eligibility


For further information on the grant, including eligibility criteria, please see Section 5-2.
 
Completing the RS7 Follow these instructions to claim the grant:

 Add together the number of provisionally registered teachers employed and paid by your service for the first month indicated.
   
If a teacher... Then...
started (or became provisionally registered) part-way through the month begin claiming at the end of the following month.
left (or achieved full registration) part-way through the month claim for the whole month, but not for following months.
is permanently employed on a part-time basis claim the support grant as if the teacher was employed on a full-time basis.

 Write the total number for the month in the box provided.

 Repeat Steps 1-2 for each of the other months listed.

 List the names of the provisionally registered teachers you claimed the grant for in the space provided.
